For my final project, I have chosen an organizational communication scenario that revolves around an ongoing issue in my current workplace. My company is a contract service provider employing 10,000 individuals in my region.

Our clients can cancel their contracts with a thirty-day notice, which triggers the need for us to communicate with our employees assigned to that specific site. We inform them about their reassignment to other sites, which may involve a change in their hourly wage, either higher or lower.
In analyzing this scenario, several communication theories are applicable. One such theory is the organizational value system, which emphasizes the ethical aspects of communication within the organization.
We have learned that these values are based on our communication competencies, including knowledge, sensitivity, skills, and values shaped by our communication experiences (Shockley, 2015). Additionally, understanding and describing conflict processes are crucial in this scenario.
By considering these communication theories, I aim to delve into the situation’s complexities, assess the ethical implications, and propose effective communication strategies to address the challenges arising from employee reassignment and potential wage changes.
